Development Pete GuerreraTo continually improve the community's awareness of our work, recognize our participants, and encourage new donations of time and materials so more people have simple, affordable housing. To market the organization, build volunteer base and raise sufficient money as determined by the Board of Directors to fund the needs of the organization in order that simple, decent, affordable housing can be built in partnership with partner families.
Family Selection Jane and John ShackelfordThis committee meets as necessary at the office of Firelands Habitat for Humanity, 365 Main Street, Suite A, Huron, OH 44839. The committee organizes and carries out application, interview, and selection processes. We find the families who fit the criteria of need for shelter, ability to make no-interest loan payments, and ability to partner with Habitat for Humanity. Family Mentoring Betty WhitacreWorks with families through sweat equity, home ownership education, home purchase process, adjustment to new responsibilities and continued partnership with the organization. The committee is responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating this aspect of the program. Church Relations Mark BogenThis committee meets by appointment to cultivate Firelands Habitat For Humanity's relationship with local churches, to seek Covenant Churches, and maintain ties to currently involved churches. Construction Keith SquiresThis committee meets the 3rd Wednesdsay of each month at 4:00 pm at the Firelands Habitat for Humanity office, 365 Main Street, Suite A, Huron, Ohio 44839. To coordinate labor, plans, materials and family interests to build the finished product, "a simple, decent house in a decent community for God's people in need." ReStore Jon FosterTo promote community awareness of the ReStore, recruit volunteers, and encourage new donations of time and materials so more people have simple, affordable housing. |
