• Habitat for Humanity (HFH) is celebrating 25 years of building simple, decent, affordable homes for Ohio families.
o Dayton Ohio HFH was the first HFH in Ohio; affiliated on Oct 1, 1983.
o Firelands HFH became an affiliate Janurary 1, 1990.
o Fulton County HFH is Ohio’s newest HFH; affiliated on September 1, 2007.
• Since 1983, Ohio Habitat affiliates have built more than 8,300 new homes and conducted more than 700 rehabs. • In 2007, Ohio Habitat for Humanity affiliates tithed a total of $591,787 to Habitat for Humanity International’s Fund for Humanity. This amount provided funding to build approximately 140 Habitat homes overseas (based on average cost of $4,200 per home).
